Caribbean Hurricane Season

Caribbean Hurricane season 2010

Caribbean Hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th.
The 2009 Hurricane season was below average, with nine storms occurring of the 14 initially predicted.

NOAA predicts an 85% chance of an above average 2010 Hurricane season, 10% chance of an average season and 5% chance of a below average season. This will not bode well when you consider the BP oil spill and how a hurricane could move a lot of oil slick over a large area.

  • 14-23 Named Storms,
  • 8-14 Hurricanes
  • 3-7 Major Hurricanes
